Foods to Avoid While You Have Braces
Having braces can be a major adjustment especially when it comes to the foods you eat. Certain foods should be avoided altogether while others can be modified to make it more braces friendly. Any foods that you normally would bite into using your front teeth should be eaten with caution. Cutting these types of foods (sandwiches, pizza, meats, hard vegetables (celery, carrots…etc.) and hard fruits (apples, pears…etc.)) into small bite-size pieces before placing them in your mouth helps to eliminate the chance of breaking a bracket off.
